DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected through early evening. The
threat of severe weather is low, though the strongest storms may
produce gusty winds and small hail.

Fog development is possible overnight, some may become locally
dense towards daybreak.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue tonight. Severe
storms are not expected, but locally heavy rain is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

There will be isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms Friday and
Saturday, mainly south of I-72. The probability of organized severe
weather is low, but locally heavy rain is possible.

Additional storms are expected early next week, some of which could
be strong to severe. However, the exact timing and location of any
severe thunderstorms remains uncertain at this range.

Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms (1 out of 5) is outlooked
for southern Wisconsin.

Areas of dense fog may form late tonight especially over eastern
Wisconsin.

Any areas of dense fog at sunrise Friday will quickly dissipate.
Otherwise an unsettled period of thunderstorms is expected from
Sunday night into Tuesday night.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

There will be a chance for scattered to isolated thunderstorms
this afternoon and evening, mainly along and north of Interstate
80. Some of these storms may be strong with hail and gusty winds.
There is a Marginal Risk, or level 1 out of 5 for severe storms
across portions of extreme east central Iowa into northwestern
Illinois Thursday afternoon and evening.

Area tributary rivers and lower portions of the Mississippi River
are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements
and Flood Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

An active stretch of weather is expected across the Midwest
beginning early next week, with daily chances of showers and
thunderstorms possible. At this time, it is too early to
determine the risk of severe weather.
